Hi Everyone!
I wanted to take a moment to share with you my journey of the last several months. As I have been helping you figure out what your passions are and how to turn them into a career you love ~ I have been taking my own advice and doing the same.
I have been broadening my view and seeing all the things that I love to do and finding a way to integrate them into a business that I LOVE!
I'm taking my mentoring and melding it with a holistic approach for clients and their businesses. I will offer a broader range of services that will help my clients envision the possibilities for their careers, help them articule that vision and then share it with the world.
I am building a new web presence and will hope to share that with all of you in the next month.
Thank you as always for being here with me and letting me know how much you have gotten from my videos and blogs.
I look forward to continuing to share beneficial information with you that will be even more compelling and valuable than before!

What happens when we step out into the spotlight and decide to drive our own destiny? We often as creatives relish the ability to have our own time, dictate our own terms and spend time just well, creating!
But as we all know to get bigger, better and share our gifts with the world we need to become business women (yes, I used the B word!!) There are some of you out there that may even balk at this. I'm creative, I'm an artist ~ i'm not a business person. Oh yeah?? well, unless you want to be a starving artist (which I think you don't) you gotta put your CEO cap and big girl pants on!
Here's the good news. If this is all new to you and you think you don't have the B-woman mind-set, try this little trick that I use to keep myself motivated and on track. My CEO is Jillian ~ I make another persona that I am accountable to and let me tell you, you don't want to let Jillian down. Works like a charm every time.
Because often we don't think holding ourselves accountable to ourselves is as important as holding ourselves accountable to others. I know you're nodding your head right about now, going yeah, that's me.
Watch today's video to get some great tips on how to not only be the CEO of your career, but of your life and how to turn it into one big beautiful yummy life with all the toppings!
So put your CEO cap on and let's take charge of your life!!
If you have ways that you hold yourself accountable to super high standards (that you know you deserve!), please share with us what you do!

PS if you aren't seeing the comment section scroll up to the blogpost title and click it'll be right down here waiting for you!
You may love the people you work with, but hate what you're doing or maybe it's the opposite ~ you love what you do, but you work in a toxic environment that's slowly killing your soul. You feel trapped and think there is no way out.
You are dead WRONG! Here's why. Because you always have the choice to see things differently and you always have control over YOU and the decisions you make every day. Below are two foolproof ways to discover exactly what you love about the work you do and how to find the right people to work with!
Scenario 1: you love who you work with, but not what you're doing ~ let's examine that. What about your environment gets you jazzed? Is it the ability to be around creative people? Is it that you love what they do and wish you were doing it? Is there a collaborative aspect to the group you work with that truly fuels your creative mojo? The answers to these questions are the perfect additions to your list of 'must haves' in your dream career bucket.
Scenario 2: you don't like who you work with, but you love what you do. There are several things you can do about this situation. First, think about the current environment and ask yourself how you may contribute to its existence (nope, you can't blame everybody else for your woes ~ we all participate in one way or another!). Secondly, look at what aspects you love and those that make you want to tear your hair out! (example: you create imaginative, cutting-edge videos for companies, but they don't appreciate your work, nor do they pay you as agreed!, or you teach amazing dance workshops for underpriviledged teens, but the business is mismanaged and you've lost faith in working with them). This is great information to add to your list under "will not work for companies/people that…"
Scenario 3: You've been taking jobs based on the skillset you have, but, even though it's a brand new company, you end up in the same old story (sort of like continuing to date the bad boys like you did when you were 16). You need to look at it with a new set of eyes – perhaps it's really that you love to write, but not write copy all day for viagra and adult diaper adverts.
So now that you know the two foolproof ways to figure out what to add to your dream job wish list and what you can kick to the curb, you can start to think of new ways to paint your dream job picture.
Now let's add a little spice to our dream job stew ~ a dash of side hustle. You just figured out above what you love doing. Who do you know that needs your mad skills and is happy to pay you for them? Love to write? start submitting stories to local news outlets, magazines, and fellow websites that you feel your unique point of view could be just what their readers need to hear. Love to bake, craft, play the piano, take photos? See who wants a special 'homemade' birthday cake for their little one, but doesn't have the time to bake it, or how about lessons in any of the above. People who have passions, or things that come naturally to them don't realize many of us do not share those passions or talents. We would gladly pay for your expertise, or straightforward guidance on how to get started. Start adding these side jobs to your CV (or website) under "what I love to do", and shout it from the hilltops on your social media sites letting people know you are 'open for business'!
What if you're feeling like you want to stay put in your job, you just want to see some growth ~ to be challenged! Start listening ~ what projects (small or large) are being put out there that people aren't clamoring to do. Raise your hand and take it on! Initiative is the name of the game and the more you show your wide range of skills, the more you'll start getting noticed. Perhaps you admire someone in the company and would like to learn more about what they do ~ ask if you can shadow them for a day, or offer to buy them coffee and share your desire to learn from them.
You always have the choice to change your circumstances as long as you have one thing ~ the desire to do so.
In the comments section below I want to hear specifically ~
1. what you really love about the work you do
2. what super skills do you have that you can turn into a little side hustle outside of work, or get you noticed at work?

I am basking in the afterglow of my January coaching program, Inspirational Tenacity. There was so much inspiration, Aha! moments and just plain old love being sent out into the world! During the four week program I had inspirational telecalls with two incredible individuals ~ my meditation teacher Harshada Wagner and my fellow bad-ass entrepreneur Tiphani Montgomery.
Harshada took us into a deep, powerful meditation and rocked our spiritual world. He shared not only how casual meditation can be (meaning there is no right way, your way, is the right way!) but how important it is to do on a daily basis to keep our mind relaxed, open and in touch with our inner selves. I feel so blessed to have found Harshada and to be working with him that I couldn't keep him to myself and wanted to share him with you all so that you could experience his wonderful work for yourself ~ you'll find a way to connect with Harshada at the bottom of this post.
My talk with Tiphani was a burst of energy and some great gems that we all came away with. I wanted to share some of them with you. If you're struggling in your life and you aren't sure what the cause is ~ is it your career? is it your personal life? No matter where you are in your life, whether you need a personal change, or a professional one, whether you're stuck or you're humming along, these words of wisdom will be an added tool to your kit.
:: Your path may not take the traditional route. Don't let society's rules (you want to succeed in life? Go get a college degree, PHd, etc.) keep you from attaining anything you put your mind to.
::You already have what you need to create wealth in your life. Look at what you are really good at and what makes you most happy ~ those are your two biggest assets to finding your passion path.
::Don't let others define your limitations. Do your own research. Find the answers for yourself. Walls put before us were meant to be climbed. As Marie Forleo says "it's all figureoutable!"
::They don't see what you see ~ your potential.
::Turn your mess into your message.
::Protect your dreams, they are fragile. Don't share them with just anybody.
::Know your strengths and use them to your advantage.
::Avoiding overwhelm ~ break it down. You want to write a 75,000 page book? sound overwhelming? Here's what it looks like: 1000 words per day at 250 words per page ~ that's only FOUR pages a day! x 6 days a week = a done deal in 3 months! if you want to write only 5 days a week ~ that's a little under 4 months.
Watch today's video where I share an interesting story how one person turned couch-surfing and drinking into a successful business for himself!
Lessons learned here for me and my Inspirational Tenacity peeps was no matter what you want to attain you can, and deepening your spirituality and your connection to yourself will get you there faster!
If you think you can, or you think you can't ~ you're right!
For those of you who missed January's Inspirational Tenacity program, don't worry! I will be offering it again beginning in March and I am creating a digital version of it as well entitled the "IT KIT" ~ the all you need kit to get you on the road to manifesting change in your life and career. Stay tuned, details will be coming very soon!

Here's how to connect with Harshada and Tiphani ~
To connect with Harshada ~ http://www.livingmeditation.org/tags/harshada-wagner
You can click here to experience Harshada's transformative guided meditations. Yogaglo has both yoga and meditation videos that you can watch, listen to, and download for use anywhere, anytime! Portable meditation, I love it!
To connect with Tiphani Montgomery ~ http://tiphanimontgomery.com/
On our path to enlightenment we experience many things. In the beginning it is a sense of lightness (de-cluttering) and then a sense of alignment (synchronicity). We suddenly see things in a new light (re-framing our perspective) and we allow room for growth.
We can continue this way for quite some time and then something odd happens, we start to slow down, our thoughts become less clear, less defined. All that we seemed so focused on doing suddenly loses its focus and we can't remember what our goal, or attraction to it was. We withdraw, feel vulnerable and lost.
When this happens we have two options. To attach our emotions to it and have it take us down a rabbit hole that we will have difficulty getting out of, or we can step back and detach from it emotionally and watch ~ just simply observe and listen. It may take days, or weeks to see what is happening, or what we need to learn from this 'breakdown'. I use that word not in a sense of being broken, but rather in tearing down barriers that would keep us from seeing the next layer of our growth.
How we should really be seeing it is as a 'breakthrough', not a 'breakdown'.
Listen carefully for clues as to what it may be about. You may need to spend some time alone, away from stimuli, away from the action, so to speak. Because what is needed now is precisely inaction. No movement. Being as still as possible so that we can hear what our inner mind is trying to share with us.
Watch my video now and I will share with you additional ways to deal with this when it happens to you.
Change happens in many different ways ~ sometimes we have to do the opposite of what we think we should be doing. We need to stop instead of move forward, for this may give us the biggest gain of all.
Share with me in the comments below any instances of 'breakdown' that you may be experiencing, or have experienced recently and if you think you are actually having a 'breakthrough' moment. Tell me ways in which you reacted to it ~ good or not.

This is the BURNING QUESTION Danielle Laporte asks on the first of her new series ~ The Burning Questions Series! and it was exactly what I needed to read, and feel this morning.
I had been stepping back last week to get a sense of how I was 'feeling' about my life and my newfound career. I was asking myself the same questions ~ how was I feeling? How do I want other people to feel? How do I get my message across so that people really 'feel' it?
And then this post came out this morning. As you are aware from following me you always get a video first thing monday morning and I know that some of you have come to expect that and look forward to starting your week off with a bit of food for thought, a little introspection, a little let me take a look at that in my life, kinda way.
And I will continue to do that ~ don't worry! But I want this to be an evolving relationship where we both grow. And when I feel a growth spurt (as I did this past week), I had to take some time and look at it, stand up against that doorframe and measure how much I grew!
Because If I'm not sharing my growth with you all, in addition to ~ my insights and been there, let me help you through that part of your journey ~ how real will it be for you, or for me?
Today I am answering Danielle's first burning question !
How do you want it all to feel?
But in my fashion.
in a video.
check it out.
Now, I want you to answer the burning question for yourself ! How do you want it all to feel?
I want you to write it down and place it somewhere that you can look at it every day – over your desk, inside your vanity cabinet in the bathroom, on your refridgerator, wherever you will see it often and get in touch with those feelings and take them with you on your daily journey.
I also want you to share them with this community, post them below in the comments section and let's get a 'feeling-fest' started. The good vibes will flow and everyone will be adding their love to the soup!

Set your sites high ~ go for the gold ~ dream the impossible dream ~ pull out all the stops ~
OR
Play it safe ~ don't overstep your boundaries ~ don't get your hopes up ~ don't get your heart broken ~
Which rallying cry do you think change-makers, innovators, thought leaders, brave-hearts, use before they head out on their next adventure? (hint – it ain't the second sentence!)
Where will you get if you want to make a difference in your life and the lives of those you love if you play it safe, don't get your hopes up, don't overstep your boundaries?
How will your world and the world around you change for the better if we think this way?
If we set our sites high – we will ALWAYS get farther than we think and certainly farther than we would have if we set our goals low, safe, within our boundaries.
So play it big, LIFE IS BIG ~ dream with all you've got.
This week's video gives you the call to action to think big in your life – watch it now and get fired up!
I want you to share your biggest goals and dreams with the world ~ you need to make them real, own them, start taking action steps towards realizing them – writing them below in the comments section is your first step!
Peace & Outrageous Goals
jill
'excellent or complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement' ~ that's a definition of perfect and I believe a perfectly fitting one!
Because we are perfect just as we are. All of our foibles and idiosyncracies make us unique and therefore perfect. The sooner we realize that the sooner we get on with our lives and understand that each thing we do, each thought we think is the 'perfect' action or thought for that moment in our lives. There is no other way to have it.
Do you dig me? all you have to do is take action. When you take action you will then see the results of those actions. Then from those results you will learn something, such as 'doing it that way didn't get the result I wanted, I'm going to try it another way'. You see? there is no imperfect thing, or moment. All of our moments are perfect in their own way.
Until very recently I would tell people that I was a 'perfectionist', thinking this was something to be proud of as in ~ yeah, I don't do anything half-assed, I work at it until it's PERFECT. Well, that's all good, but many times that 'waiting until it's perfect' kicked me in the butt and caused me to miss lots of great opportunities, aha! moments and just plain life lessons.
This is what waiting for perfect keeps you from ~
:: trying something new without knowing the outcome
:: experimenting
:: going for it even though it could be a mistake
:: living in the moment
:: manifesting
:: meeting new people no matter where you are, or what you look like, or what you're wearing ~ you know what I'm talking about ~ "i can't talk to that person, look at what i'm wearing!" PS antidote to that, go out looking great no matter what you're doing even walking the dog!
Our job is to get on with the business of living our lives and taking action. If you have the 'perfect' hang-up, shift your perception from "i'm not ready, it's not perfect" to "this is the perfect time, i'm ready".
small mental shifts + action = miracles
Watch today's video where I share my big mistake and how I fixed it in 1 day!
Here's the homework for the day ~ shift your perception from it's not perfect to I'm perfectly ready to try this and share the results with me in the comments below!

These are the words my husband spoke to me after one hell of a day I had recently. I woke up bright-eyed and bushy tailed, prayed, meditated, made myself a green juice, got caught up on my emails and was ready to film videos for my upcoming posts. I always film two at a time so I give myself a week where I am not making a video and can focus on other aspects of my business.
I had been filming footage for the film I am making and wanted to transfer that footage from my camera to the hard drive of my computer, not upload it to an editing software. Every time I tried to do this, and then view the footage to make sure all of it was uploaded before I erased everything on my camera, I kept experiencing issues. I tried several different ways of dealing with this, googled the subject, called a friend, etc. I couldn't get it to work. (I am not the most tech savvy person, so I am sure this is quite easy for some people!). So I decided to just upload it to my video editing software but I kept getting a message that there were no media files to import. Ready to pull my hair out, I contacted Sony and had a fantastic, patient technician fix the issues and sort everything out for me. Well by the time that was completed four hours had gone by and I was pretty worn out emotionally! Now I had to film two videos??! Oy!
Well as you can imagine, those did not go very well. I couldn't focus clearly and they just weren't resonating with me. Therefore, I kept having to film take after take and that was just frustrating me even more. After several hours of that ~ I gave up. I decided what I needed to do was focus on something else.
I was about to launch my first online program in a few days, so I decided to put the finishing touches on some of the text ~ but my mind was mush, I couldn't write sh*t, I stared blankly at the screen, I had nothing left. So here we are at 8:30 at night and I felt like I had gotten nothing accomplished. I was so frustrated and unable to let it go emotionally. My saving grace was that I decided to take a bath and share with my husband the frustrating day I had.
Here is where everything changed ~ it's subtle, so pay attention ~ I SHARED my FEELINGS about my frustrating day with my husband. Did you get that? I didn't vent to him about every detail of what went wrong and play it over yet again to try to understand it better, or fix it ~ I told him how I was FEELING. This act immediately started the weight melting off of my shoulders and I began to feel a bit better. As my bath was running and he LISTENED (also very important component to this cocktail) to me, he then said the most brilliant thing ~
CAN YOU THROW THE DAY AWAY?
I thought about that very deeply ~ I had three days to make another video. I had time to finish writing my program. I had received the help that I needed so everything would be clear for me to start another day ~ YES, I could throw the day away. This made me feel lighter than a feather, I could breathe again and see the fog lifting! I gave him a kiss and hopped in the bath.
As I was laying there relaxing with my eyes closed, it suddenly hit me ~ that's it, that's the blog post I should be writing ~ Throw The Day Away. I was so excited, because this subject really resonated with me. For God's sake I had just lived it!
The next morning I got up, put on some makeup, got the camera set up and whipped out the video in under 10 minutes, because I had thrown away the day, started fresh and was very clear about what I wanted to say.
Click the video to learn more insights into how to handle these moments and then come back and read the recap below!
So to recap the very important points I want you to understand ~
1. If you're pushing, and pushing and it's not happening STOP. The universe is trying to tell you something ~ listen to it.
2. Share your feelings with someone, don't rehash what happened, share what you feel about what happened.
3. Pass up GOOD for GREAT. Because I had thrown the day away I received an idea for an even better video that resonated with me and I knew would resonate with others. I passed up good for great.
I know we all have these days, hopefully you'll reflect back on my experience when you next have yours and just throw the day away.
If this resonates with you and you have some tips to share of ways you get back on track ~ please share them in the comments below!
